RIDGE OUTREACH –
MAY 2026
April was mind-blowingly brilliant, with our excellent preachers enlightening us on the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, St Thomas’ revelation, then Jesus’ appearance on the road to Emmaus. This Sunday 26th we shall honour the Anzacs and start on the parables. We are truly blessed with the steady Bible education which is feeding our faith walk.
We raised $80 towards the U/C Disaster Relief Fund at the end of March. This fund assists the flooded outback churches which have been hit by cyclones recently.
Last Tuesday Judith welcomed the Synod Property Assessor Craig Spence, who examined our church facility and will report back to Synod – his initial verbal report was encouraging.
In the lyrics from Carousel – “March went out like a lion, then April sighed and stepped aside, and along came pretty little May.”

We are so grateful, Lord, that you watched over Lesley last week and brought her safely through some serious surgery, and she is now back doing her really valuable work in our church community. Lesley has been our musician for a few weeks now since Rodney broke his arm falling off his pushbike. Then Joanne had to take Lesley’s place one week while Lesley was recovering from surgery. Thank you, Joanne, for all your hard work also with the Power point and karaoke.
Thank you for bringing Janecka and Nho and their little family into our worship. We pray that they will continue to join us in our efforts to serve you, Lord.
These special people are close to us, and we are grateful that you have brought us close to them. Please touch them with your healing hands, that they may overcome their afflictions and continue to worship you.
Good and generous God, you know what we need before we ask. Provide for your church – not just what keeps us comfortable, but what makes us alive. When we have lost our way, guide us back, not for our reputation, but for the sake of your name. When the road is hard and the future feels uncertain, let us see that you walk with us.
Let us not be paralysed by fear, but held by your presence. Nourish us at your table. Feed us with your Spirit, and send us out with something worth giving away. May we be a community that people can come home to, now, and for generations to come. Amen

Not how to win laurels or praise for my name –
But show me the way to spread the great story
